We exist to love God and love people

Who is Abundant Life Baptist Church?

We are a congregation of 30 members located in Eagle, Idaho; we are debt free; we own 6 acres of land immediately north of one of the states largest high schools; and God has given us an awesome opportunity to join Him where He is at work in this pioneer mission field.

The valley, population 609,000, is one of the fastest growing (and well publicized - Inc. Magazine, Forbes, etc.) areas of the country. Unfortunately, ninety plus percent of this population does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

But God has placed a Southern Baptist Church, Abundant Life, in the community of Eagle (22,000 people) to exalt the Savior, evangelize the Sinner, and equip the Saints. Considering the independent nature of the population, this is truly a God-sized work. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil. 4:13

In April 2002 we purchased 6 acres of land; in May 2006 we paid off the mortgage and became debt free; in May 2009 we voted to move forward with our church building program to promote growth and ministry. Our first phase of a three phase building program is to renovate the existing home to provide worship and classroom facilities at an estimated cost of $400,000. The second phase will and a 175 seat sanctuary at an estimate cost of $200,000. Since paying off our mortgage, we have raised $175,000 toward this goal.

We believe this is Kingdom work, we have counted the cost (Luke 14), and we trust in God according to His provision and His timing. He has brought us this far and we look forward with joy and anticipation for his pans for Abundant Life.

Partners in the Kingdom Transformation

For a number of years Abundant Life has been blessed by our ongoing association with Highland Baptist and Southern Baptist in Lubbock, Texas and First Baptist of Graham, Texas.

Now we pray God will direct us into new partnerships to include:

Prayer: first of all, and most important of all, we covet your prayers for wisdom, patience, and obedience as we wait upon the Lord Jesus Christ to lead us. “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive”. Matt. 21:22
Construction professionals and volunteers: individuals and teams of God's saints to come from around the Kingdom.
Materials: provision of materials worthy of God's honor and glory.
Finances: (construction, maintenance, and operations): Kingdom fund pledges on an ongoing basis or one time gifts as churches and individuals are led by the Spirit.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us.” Eph. 3:30
